Dr. Lake Franklin was raised in Eufaula Alabama. After receiving her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science, from the University of Alabama, she attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Lake received her Bachelors of Human Anatomy and her Doctorate of Chiropractic, Magna Cum Laude from Parker College. She also was awarded the James W. Parker Founders Award for Chiropractic Philosophy.

Dr. Lake's Post Certification is in Chiropractic Clinical Neurology and she has the standard four national boards, Physiotherapy board, and the state board.

In her spare time, Dr. Lake enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and playing with their 70 pound English Bulldog, Winston. She also enjoying running with the Christian women's group, "Flabuless" and road biking.
